Dining

Here at Amberwoods of Farmington we realize what an important role food plays in our residents overall well being. Our dietary department strives to offer our residents meals that are nutritious and pleasing to their palate.

Our Director of Dietary Services visits each new resident to chat with them about their food preferences and answer any questions they may have about their meals. The Director of Dietary Services, as well as our Registered Dietician, are available for family members who would like to discuss their loved ones' nutritional needs.

FAQs

We recommend bringing the same items you would bring to the hospital. Do also bring comfortable clothing and appropriate shoes for therapy.
We provide laundry services onsite, but residents may send laundry home with family if preferred. In either case, please label all clothing.
You may visit anytime. Reception area is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends and holidays. Call the facility for staff to unlock the door after hours.
An average stay is between 2-3 weeks.
Breakfast is served around 8 a.m. If needed, you will receive assistance with getting dressed. Therapy is scheduled at specific times during the day. Lunch is served at around noon, and dinner is served at 5:00 p.m. You will be invited to recreational activities throughout the day or provided in-room activities if you prefer. Medication is provided to you. If needed, you will be visited by a physician, APRN, or consulting specialist. You will also receive visits from other team members, such as dieticians or social workers.
Most insurances cover short-term care such as Medicare and Managed Care. We also have a contract with the VA and many veterans are covered in our facility.
